- Characters make grapple checks instead of strength checks when tripping foes. A -2 circumstance penalty applies if both hands are not free.
- To benefit most from cover or concealment, you should to state that you are using some element of the terrain for this purpose. (e.g. "I take cover from the archers behind the low wall.") This makes sure people know you are taking cover, and remember to give you your cover bonuses. This good sense applies even if you are using a battle map, as determining whether or not someone has cover and concealment is often problematic or overlooked even with a battle map. You cannot attack someone with a mêlée weapon if you are taking cover from them, although the same is not true of ranged attacks.
