d20: Exchange Value of Coins

In Ambar, "gold pieces" are called "crowns". Crowns are scored so that they can be broken into 10 pieces, called "bits". Crowns are cast of many different metals, most commonly silver, and all have the same value. Crowns made of metals more precious than silver are smaller smaller and easier to carry.

Copper piece (cp) = 1 bit
Silver piece (sp) = 5 bits or 1 half-crown (hcr)
Gold piece (gp) = 10 bits or 1 Crown (cr)
Platinum piece (pp) = 100 bits or 10 Crowns (cr)
