Dim, Tengu Illusionist (updated 2009/06/06)

Dim is a tough little Tengu and master of illusion who thirsts for arcane power.

This diminutive Tengu is a master of illusion and disguise. His nimble wings, speed, keen eyes, and skill with the bow make him a dangerous adversary, raining a hail of arrows from the sky. Armed with a moon silver dagger, he is also a skilled knife fighter. Dim thirsts for power, wandering the land in search of magic relics to bend to his will. He has braved many dangers, including the evil Kha'din, and his journeys have toughened him beyond most Tengu. In a recent battle, he and his comrades uncovered a vast treasure of moon silver, and Dim is struggling to contain his greed. Dim hails from the realm of Kensuledor, a varied land with tall mountains, thick forests, and winding rivers. He is experienced in piloting small boats through the tangled waterways, and hiding in the shadowy woodlands. [ more... ]

Durak da'Atma (updated 2009/06/06)

Durak is a nimble Alu of the Desert Screamer sect, a cadre of stealthy knife fighters hardened by their desolate homeland.

The Alu known as Durak has ventured far from his desolate homeland, hard land that produces hard people. Like all warriors from sect, the Desert Screamers, Durak is a skilled knife fighter, springing nimbly in and out of the melee, and trained to make no sound except for a single blood-curdling scream upon the death of a foe. Durak wears loose desert garb and carries a pair of curved steel as'ei knives favored by his people. [ more... ]

Haghinc (updated 2009/06/06)

Haghinc is a towering barbarian swordsman, toughened by his ordeals and journey far from the cold north. Like his ancestors he is a true berserker. Haghnic has a recently discovered latent magical affinity.

Despite his clan's superstition about written letters, Haghinc's grandmother secretly tought him to read and write when he was little. He has of course kept this secret from his clan. After a particularly nasty battle with a snow ogru, he was laid up in a hermit's hidden ice cave. The man was actually a hedge wizard. Haghinc managed to spy on some of the man's runecraft and was fascinated by it, but due to its rather suspicious nature he has little opportunity to practice and handles the magic clumsily.

Haghinc is clad in furs of wild beasts and rough gray homespun. Around his shoulders is wrapped a warm cloak fashioned from the ivory-colored hide of an Ice Bear. A deerskin quiver of hunting javelins (6) rides on his hip, and in a deerskin sheathe on his back he bears a cold-wrought iron broadsword named Ull-nche, the Silver Icicle. [ more... ]

Herek-Gor (updated 2009/06/06)

Herek-Gor is a tough Baal'Shem who serves the dragon Gor. He is skilled in the arts of conjuring and applying dragonflame, and like most Baal his skin is toughened against such things. He is also a competent swordsman.

Herek-Gor serves the Guardian Dragon Gor, a guardian dragon with black scales as tough as steel, breath of acid and fire, great black wings, and swirling eyes that pierce all guises. Like all those affiliated with dragonkind, Herek-Gor has a profound dislike of water.

Herek-Gor wears supple leather crafted from dragonleather with a helm shaped in the likeness of a dragon's head. The armor protects him from fire and acid. His flamberge broadsword is shaped like a tongue of flame. He also carries two dark ceramic vials of Baal Fire. [ more... ]

Phetic Wind (updated 2009/06/06)

Phetic Wind is an obedient monk of the Wind Warrior priesthood. He is a skilled in the Alu blade arts and bears the holy blade Fueken.

The outward appearances of this Alu bely his true skill and danger. Seemingly unarmed and unarmored, he is actually garbed in lightweight Tengu "mesh" armor and carries a magic Moon Silver blade known as Fueken, the "blade flute" kel sword. Like most Alu, Phetic Wind is a skilled duellist. Nimble, tough, and skilled with his blade, he makes a dangerous opponent.

Wind Warriors are trained in the ancient art of Karumijutsu. Leaps of amazing height and distance are possible by "lightening" the body through precise use of balance, muscular tension, and inner strength. It is possible to run straight up walls, leap great distances, or seemlingly walk on air. [ more... ]

Syr Arutha Tormillion (updated 2009/06/06)

Arutha Tormillion is a noble swordsman wanted by the King's men for his father's supposed treachery.

Arutha Tormillion is a towering man with piercing eyes, garbed in mail and wielding an ancient family blade. His father, Crom, was captain of the old king's house guard, the Dragon Knights, and taught Arutha the knightly arts of swordsmanship and horsemanship since he was a child. Living in the castle, he also learned to read latin and was taught the honor of chivalry. Arutha's hereditary strength, quickness and toughness from his father made him excel most in athletics. Arutha would one day have succeeded his noble father, were it not for treachery amongst the noble court that led to his father's arrest and execution. Before being arrested, Arutha's father entrusted him with their family blade, an ancient broadsword that bears the familiy crest. Hiding his true identity and wanted by the King, Arutha longs to bring justice to his father's murderers and restore honor to his family name.

Arutha wears noble clothing and plate armor. He carries an elegant longsword on his leather belt. The longsword is a family heirloom and bears his family crest. (The blade is ancient and rumored never to break while the family retains its honor; it may bear a latent enchantment.) He wears his coin purse with a meager $20 in silver pennies under his armor, but proudly rides a noble silver-hued stallion. [ more... ]
