This is a campaign set in Lyonesse starting in the year 879. Four wanderers in the Lyonesse bound together by their mutually unsatisfactory dealings with the dread necromancer Tov Morden. Their adventures lead them into the Ashenrise Mountains, where ancient secrets are revealed. Along the way they show a proclivity for burning down forests. They find a hidden forest nestled within the caldera of a sleeping volcano, which leads to a series of deep caves. Along the way they forge an alliance with a society of Dwurgaur smiths masquerading as goblyns. [ more... ] 879 fall - Sacred Fires of Na'AashokThe Burners discover the lost Dragon shrine of Na'Aashok. The dragon Aashok was slain long ago, but lingers on as a Dracontia spirit. After ridding the temple of goblyn vermin who were annoying the dragon, they gain the blessing of Aashok. Der Drachen is given the ritual Seta scar, and Aashok reveals the name of Skrel's sword. 879 fall - Burning of Gnar WoodSimilarly cursed, Carrow and Turk join Der Drachen and Skrel against Tov Morden. They attack Tov Morden's burial site within the Gnar Wood and end up burning the forest to the ground. The black, oily waters of the Blackmist rage into an inferno, burning for weeks.
