The Berwyn Range is is the southern entrance to Belerion, and the pass is guarded by Caer Berwyn, a mighty city-fortress. Originally little more than a trading post for expeditions south, the settlement blossomed into the major branching out point from Istaria into what has become greater Alornea. Berwyn is also well-known for a massive citadel that serves as a redoubt against Nan-Avathar, with tall scrying towers that allow the Istari oracles to observe lands as far as Aegis.
