The land of Pelador is nestled between the mighty river Drim and the deep and ancient forests of Dorthonien. The nearest of the Alornean lands to Old Alornea, the verdant dales of Pelador are home to many barrows and ancient ruins of the old Alornean kings.

In ancient times Pelador had many great cities, but all of them now lay in ruin. Dozens of small three-year towns dot the country side, especially alongside the Drim, but the true power of Pelador is a thing of the past. Now, the waters of the river Drim demark the a war-torn boundary with Nan-Avathar. Peladoran riverboats ply the waters to golden Alahan, or beyond into the Silvertine River.

The center of this region is covered with inscrutible swampland that defy Avathars and Peladorans alike. Even in ancient times, these swamps were avoided by Alorns, who knew that the mires contained deep secrets better left alone. Countless lives have been lost in battles in and around these swamps, as armies attempt to maneuver around their foes or discover their mystery.
